Privacy Policy
Tanzania Green Empowerment Organization (TAGEO) respects your privacy. This page explains what information you share with us through the TAGEO website and app and how it is used.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we receive your name, email address and account details. You may also add a username, profile photo, phone number and biography. If you volunteer, contact us, subscribe to updates, or pledge a donation, we receive the information you enter in those forms, such as your contact details, skills, message, project choice or pledged materials. Contributions to the gallery may include images and descriptions. The app also keeps settings such as theme and accessibility preferences.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide your account and requested services, process and respond to enquiries and volunteer applications, coordinate donations, manage TAGEO projects and events, send requested updates, secure the app and display content you choose to publish. We do not use a donation pledge as proof that a payment has been processed; any payment arrangements are communicated separately.
Who can access it
Authorized TAGEO team members can access information relevant to their responsibilities. Public content you submit or that TAGEO publishes, such as a gallery photo, may be visible to visitors. Account and form records are stored in TAGEO's hosted backend; authentication and email delivery providers process information needed to operate sign-in and messages. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Access to private records is restricted by sign-in and role-based permissions. Uploaded media may be displayed through the app when published. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. The app uses local device storage and limited cookies as described in our Cookies page.
Your choices
You can update your profile and settings in your account. You may stop using the newsletter by contacting us. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact info@tageo.or.tz. We will review requests in light of any obligations to retain records. Signing out removes your active app session from that device.
